SYNETRIUM International Consortium Established — Czech-Ukrainian-Latvian Scientific-Industrial Alliance for Strategic Technologies

On March 10, 2026, five organizations signed the Framework Agreement establishing the SYNETRIUM International Consortium — a scientific, technological, and industrial cooperation platform for developing advanced technologies in strategic sectors.

Purpose

To strengthen scientific, technological, and industrial cooperation in the development of advanced technologies for strategic sectors, supporting energy security, technological resilience, and long-term economic stability with emphasis on Ukraine and its international partners.

Seven Strategic Programs (Annex I)

I. Nuclear Science & Research Infrastructure

→ Fundamental and applied research in nuclear physics, materials science, international scientific laboratories

II. Nuclear Energy Technologies

→ Advanced nuclear technologies, Small Modular Reactors (SMR), nuclear fuel cycle

III. Scientific & Engineering Laboratories

→ Creation and modernization of research laboratories including hot cell technologies

IV. Energy Technologies & Infrastructure

→ Advanced energy systems, modernization of energy facilities, sustainable energy solutions

V. Protection & Resilience of Critical Infrastructure

→ Engineering solutions for infrastructure resilience, protection of energy and nuclear installations

VI. Industrial Cooperation & Technology Transfer

→ International industrial projects, implementation of innovations in production

VII. Engineering Centers & Technological Testing Grounds

→ International engineering centers, robotic systems, autonomous and unmanned technologies, dual-use technologies
